Reference, not legal advice
The curative index, case cards, index of terms and answers on this site are general reference on Texas and Louisiana title. They are not a title opinion, not legal advice, and not a substitute for the advice of an attorney (Tex. Gov't Code § 81.101(c)). Statutes and cases change and every chain is different. Check the current law, and have an attorney examine title before you rely on it.
Requests and engagements
Sending a search request doesn't create an engagement, an attorney-client relationship or any other duty. Work starts only on a written scope and price we both accept, and that agreement governs the work. The sample runsheet and chain drawing are illustrations: Blackacre, Doe, Roe and Stiles are placeholders, not a real tract or real people.
Early access
Self-serve search is in early access. Counties, features and access terms may change, and access may be limited or withdrawn while it's being built.
Acceptable use
- Don't scrape the site in bulk or overload it.
- Don't send spam or false requests.
- Don't probe or try to get around the site's security.
- Don't pass yourself off as someone else.
Ownership
The text, drawings, marks and code on this site belong to Our Landmen LLC. Court opinions and statutes are public; our summaries of them are ours. You're welcome to quote a short passage with a link back to title.wiki.
Liability
The site is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Our Landmen LLC is not liable for indirect, special or consequential damages from using the site or relying on it.
Governing law
Wyoming law governs these terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
